Freedom: the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved

Whenever I think of freedom, I think of the power it holds. For Christ came and died for us to be set free of our bondage, from the sin that enslaves us, and for the chains in our life to be broken. We all need freedom because in some way, we are all broken.

Despite our brokenness, we can attain freedom because of Christ. So what does freedom look like? Well it can look like many things. It can be looking forward, despite what your past holds. It can be letting go of the things that weigh us down. It can literally mean not going back to the things that you know do no good to you. Rather that’s a sin, depression, or heartache. Whatever you need to be freed up from in your life, know God is more than able and is ready for you to walk in freedom.

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

It’s written in scripture to remind us all, that we can be free and the amazing thing it’s free for us to attain. I mean God loves us so much, he doesn’t desire for us to be entangled in our sin, entrapped by our thoughts that aren’t from God, to be held back because of the past. So what does God do? He sent his son, to die for our sins, and through that, there’s freedom. Christ erases our sin and breaks us from our bondage.

So what does that mean for us? It means we don’t have to be slaves any longer. We know how important it is to be free, once we walk in freedom, we can truly walk into the purpose and calling God has over our lives. We desire for every woman to walk in freedom!

For the month of April, our theme is freedom. We will share stories and experiences on how we found freedom and are not able to be held back by things that weren’t meant to be in our lives. Our heart’s desire is for you to find freedom and we can’t wait to share more on this topic!

With love, Jenny
